my little kicker
Ayrie’s displayed an astounding improvement at his soccer game today over the first three weeks! Ayrie did not try to leave the game at any point and kicked the ball about half a dozen times. He even dribbled (in the wrong direction) three times. He seemed pretty intrigued with the coaches, and when we came home he told me that he wants to be a coach with a whistle when he grows up.
Shiya was watching from the backpack, wiggling and yelling with excitement when the ball came near us, and clapping with the other parents.
There was a parent in goal behind his child, holding his 3 year old son’s shoulders and positioning him all over the place… a little over the top!
I can kind of understand that parent holding his child in front of the goal. Sometimes when I can’t tell Ayrie what to do, I just do it myself while holding his hands. It’s not a great way to teach, but when I just can’t figure it out, it seems better than giving up.
